We use Bridge as a first step in our digital workflow.  Bridge is free and part of Photoshop and is key to looking at your photographs, organizing them and moving them into Adobe Camera Raw for editing.  After Bridge and Adobe Camera Raw (explained in a following section) you will use Photoshop for final edits, resizing, changing file formats, combining images and printing.

If you have used Lightroom Links to an external site. you will find similarities between it and Bridge.  This article will explain the differences between the two programs  Adobe Bridge vs. Lightroom 2021 Links to an external site..  I ask you to try Bridge, even if you have been using Lightroom and have it as an established part of your digital workflow.  After trying Bridge you may go  back to using Lightroom if you want.

For those of you who don't use Lightroom think of Bridge as the first step in your digital workflow after uploading your photographs into your computer.
