Overview of Week 4
This week we review active reading strategies that you will apply to your reading. Learning to be a strong reader is essential for college success. So take a look at these tips and see what you already do and what you might try applying to your practice as a reader. I suggest taking notes on the strategies so that you will be able to look back and apply them throughout the semester.
We will also read a short story (fiction) and think more about identity, experience, and our understanding of the world through the lens of this unique writer.
This week you will need to email your partner your draft of your memoir in order to complete the peer review. I will be emailing you (via the Inbox on Canvas) on Tues/Weds to connect you with your parter. If your memoir draft isn't in on time I will not connect you with a partner because I don't want to set anyone up with someone who may not submit their work. Please be prompt with your feedback to your partner. As always, let me know if you have questions. :)
