Pathways of Energy Metabolism Pictures

The Three Pathways of Energy Metabolism -Look at these Pictures

These three pathways occur inside a cell and allow us to take an energy nutrient such as Carbohydrate, Fat and Protein and convert it into ATP -Adenosine Triphosphate. There are several thoughts on ATP, one is that it is our most common form of cellular energy. In the case of carbohydrates, glucose is the only monosaccharide that cells can burn for energy. This is what we mean when we say that Carbohydrates provide energy. These are very busy pathways as you can see visually, they are transforming the carbon, hydrogen and oxygen in our food into usable products for us in order for our cells to function properly.
